New Coaches

New & Returning Coaches

All coaches have several forms they must complete and information given each year before they can be put into the system as a coach for a CYSA team.

  1. Complete EPYSA online Risk Management form (must be done once each year):

    1. http://www.epysa.org/

    2. Click Membership Services > Risk Management*Please note the year at the top of the welcome page – make sure it is the correct year

    3. Click the Risk Management button
    4. Complete the form for Risk Management and email the Registrar when that is complete

  2. Send the Registrar a picture of yourself for your coaches card (selfie from your phone is acceptable)

  3. Complete CYSA Coach Code of Conduct:

    1. Go to www.cysasoccer.org

    2. Click Registration (Coaches Code of Conductor can be found at the bottom of the page)

    3. Send a signed copy back to the registrar via mail or email

  4. Concussion Course (must be done once each year):

    1. Go to http://nfhslearn.com/courses

    2. Search for “Concussion” and click on “Concussion in Sports”

    3. Create an account.

    4. Complete the course and print the certificate.

    5. Send a copy back to the registrar via mail or email.

Due to new laws in PA all volunteers are subject to clearances.  These are good for 5 years.  If you have already completed these clearances simply mail or email them to the registrar (if you are new to the club).  If you have not completed them or they are older than 5 years please follow step #5 below.

              5.  Complete required clearances for Pennsylvania as a volunteer

  1. http://www.epysa.org/

  2. Click Membership Services > PA Child Protection Laws and Clearances

  3. At the bottom of the page click on PA Child Abuse check.  Complete required clearance. At the bottom of the page click on PA State Check.  Complete required clearance.

  4. If you have not lived in PA for the past 10 years you must also click on FBI Background Check. 

  5. Mail or email your clearances to the registrar.

*Note if you were charged for these clearances the club will reimburse you
